Cequent Pharmaceuticals said it has hired Ted Hibben as its chief business officer.

Previously, Hibben served as vice president of business development and alliance management for Coley Pharmaceuticals. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College.

MDRNA said in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission this week that board member Susan Bayh has resigned her position with the company.

According to MDRNA, Bayh serves on the board of another company that asked her to reduce the number of her board memberships.
