The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases this week appointed Martin Rosenberg to its principal advisory board.

Rosenberg is chief scientific officer of Promega. He is a director at Promega, Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Medical College of Wisconsin Research Foundation, Nereus Pharmaceuticals, Anacor Pharmaceuticals, and Scarab Genomics.


Applied Biosystems has appointed Mark Bloomfield vice president sales molecular biology Europe as of Nov. 1, 2005, the company announced this week.

Bloomfield previously held executive positions at the European divisions of Thermo Electron, Agilent, and Hewlett-Packard.
