BD Biosciences recently announced the availability of new ZsGreen fluorescent protein vectors. Two varieties of the vectors — pIRES2-ZsGreen1 or pZsGreen1-1 — are available for cellular assays.
According to BD Biosciences, the pIRES2-ZsGreen1 vector contains an internal ribosome entry site, which permits both the cloned gene and the ZsGreen1-encoding region to be translated from a single mRNA.
The pZsGreen1-1 is a promoterless vector for studying transcriptional regulation, BD Biosciences said.
