Invitrogen s ChargeSwitch and BD Biosciences ZsGreen Fluorescent Protein Vectors

Premium

Invitrogen recently introduced its ChargeSwitch line of nucleic acid purification kits.

BD Biosciences recently announced the availability of new ZsGreen fluorescent protein vectors. Two varieties of the vectors — pIRES2-ZsGreen1 or pZsGreen1-1 — are available for cellular assays.

According to BD Biosciences, the pIRES2-ZsGreen1 vector contains an internal ribosome entry site, which permits both the cloned gene and the ZsGreen1-encoding region to be translated from a single mRNA.

The pZsGreen1-1 is a promoterless vector for studying transcriptional regulation, BD Biosciences said.
