Helge Bastian

Sigma-Aldrich said this week that it has named Helge Bastian as its new vice president of global marketing for research biotech.
 
In the position, Bastian will be responsible for “strategic and commercial marketing efforts to drive top-line growth through the identification, development, and launch of innovative products into the life science market,” the company said.
 
Bastian was previously vice president of the life science services unit of SGS. Before that, he held various management positions at Qiagen. He holds PhD in molecular biology from the University of Gottingen.
