Cell Signaling Techology s Signal Silence PAK1 and Signal Silence PAK2, Resource Center for Genome Research, Max Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, and RNA-Tec s RNA peptide conjugates


Cell Signaling Technology recently introduced a number of RNAi products, including the SignalSilence PAK1 siRNAs and siRNA kit and the SignalSilence PAK2 siRNAs and siRNA kit. The comp- any also recently launched SignalSilence siRNAs and siRNA kits for Bax, Stat1, and cMyc.

Germany’s Resource Center for Genome Research (RZPD) said this week that its scientists have developed an efficient and economic method to synthesize siRNAs.

According to RZPD, the process involves degrading specific long double-stranded DNA molecules into siRNAs. The siRNAs are now being tested in model experiments in cooperation with the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, said RZPD.

RNA-Tec recently began offering custom synthesized RNA peptide conjugates. According to the company, a variety of peptides enhance cellular uptake of oligonucleotides, such as siRNAs, when conjugated to them. RNA-Tec added that with its RNA-peptide conjugates, the linkage between the oligo and peptide is stable or biodegradable.
