Asuragen Receives Notices of Allowance for miRNA-Related Patent Applications


Asuragen said this week that it has received notices of allowance from the US Patent and Trademark Office for an undisclosed number of patent applications related to the use of microRNA-21 and miR-30a as diagnostics in lung cancer.

The company also announced that it plans to launch its first miRNA kit, which will detect miR-21 expression levels and be for research use only, in the second quarter.
