Ambion recently launched the MessageAmp II-Biotin single round aRNA amplification kit.

According to the company, the kit is sensitive enough to provide users with increased percent present calls and sufficient amounts of amplified RNA for array analysis after a single round of amplification using only 50 ng of input RNA.

The kit includes only enough reagents for a single round of amplification, Ambion notes. If an experiment requires two rounds of amplification, an amplification kit will need to be purchased in addition to the biotin kit.

Additional details about the product can be found at http://www.ambion.com/catalog/CatNum.php?1791.

Genospectra said this week that it has introduced the Express-si delivery reagent for siRNAs.

According to the company, the reagent uses a unique technology that avoids the endocytic pathway, preventing the problem of endosomal or lysosomal degradation.

Additional details about the reagent can be found at http://www.genospectra.com/prod_SI.html.
