Ambion will now be distributing Agencourt’s AMPure reagent, which is based on its proprietary Solid Phase Reversible Immobilization nucleic acid reagents, along with its MessageAmp RNA amplification kit, the companies said this week. The SPRI chemistry, which is patented, is based on the use of magnetic microparticles, onto which nucleic acids are selectively immobilized.
