Veena Singh

Biocept announced that Veena Singh will be its senior vice president and senior medical director.

Singh joins Biocept, a company focused on circulating tumor cells and circulating tumor DNA biomarker analysis, from BioTheranostics, where she was the medical director. During her tenure at BioTheranostics, the firm's clinical laboratory expanded to run a range of diagnostic platforms, including  next-generation sequencing, RT-PCR and FISH. Singh also has experience navigating the regulatory and reimbursement landscape for molecular diagnostics.

Before working at BioTheranostics, Singh held a molecular genetic pathology fellowship at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and an anatomic and clinical pathology residency at the University of California, San Diego. Singh is a board certified anatomic and clinical pathologist and a molecular genetic pahtologist.
