Tom Oldfield

Dotmatics has hired Tom Oldfield to be a principal software architect on its solutions development team. In the position, he'll be involved in the continuous expansion of Dotmatics' informatics solutions portfolio. 

Oldfield joins the company from the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) where he was the head of databases and services for the Protein Databank in Europe. He also worked preciously for Accelrys, now Biovia, a Dassault Systèmes company, where he was responsible for developing software solutions for crystallography, sequence/structure alignment for proteins, and sequence alignment/information theory for genomic data.
