Tempus hired Lauren Silvis to the newly created position of senior vice president of external affairs, in charge of all regulatory, public policy, and government affairs for the fast-growing precision medicine company. An attorney by trade, Silvis had most recently been chief of staff to former US Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Scott Gottlieb. She will based in Tempus' soon-to-be-opened office in Washington, DC.
