Shashikant Kulkarni

Baylor Miraca Genetics Laboratories has appointed Shashikant Kulkarni as its CSO and senior vice president of lab operations. He currently serves as vice chairman for research and professor in the department of molecular and human genetics at Baylor College of Medicine. Previously, Kulkarni managed one of the academic cytogenomics and molecular pathology laboratories at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He has also served on the scientific advisory boards of the NIH National Institute of General Medical Science's Coriell Institute, Bina Technologies, Swift Biosciences, Roche Diagnostics, the Cancer Genomics Program at Princess Margaret Hospital-Toronto, Horizon Discovery, and Transgenomics.
