Sekar Kathiresan
Genomics plc has tapped Sekar Kathiresan, a clinical cardiologist and human geneticist, to chair its newly-formed Scientific Advisory Board. Kathiresan is the director of preventive cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is also an associate member of the Broad Institute’s Medical and Population Genetics program and an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. Previously, he was MGH's chief resident in internal medicine. In 2015, he was selected by the National Institutes of Health to join a panel of experts formed to steer President Obama's Precision Medicine Initiative.
