Former 23andMe President Andy Page has joined consumer digital heath firm Livongo Health as its president and CFO. Page joined 23andMe in 2012 and became its president the following year. He left the company late last year. Prior to 23andMe, Page held several executive positions at other consumer technology companies, including president of Gilt Groupe, and CFO at PlayPhone and StubHub.

Heiner Dreismann has joined Stemina Biomarker Discovery's board of directors. Dreismann is former president and CEO of Roche Molecular Systems and global head of business development for Roche Diagnostics. Stemina said that his experience will aid the company as its neurological disorders division, NeuroPointDx, prepares a metabolomics-based autism diagnostic test panel for market.

Mathai Mammen

Mathai Mammen has joined the board of directors of 10x Genomics. He is the global head of science and development at the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson. Prior to that, he was senior vice president at Merck Research Laboratories, where he led several disease research programs. Before that, he led research and development at Theravance, a company he cofounded. Mammen holds an MD from the Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology HST program and a PhD in chemistry from Harvard University, as well as a BSc in chemistry and biochemistry from Dalhousie University.

Tom Maniatis

Tom Maniatis has become scientific director and CEO of the New York Genome Center. He is the Isidore S. Edelman Professor of Biochemistry and chair of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics at Columbia University. He replaces Bob Darnell, who stepped down as CEO of the NYGC last year but remains a faculty member of the center. Maniatis had already served on the  board of directors and in other leadership capacities at the NYGC since its inception.

Kathy Hudson

Kathy Hudson has been named executive director of the People-Centered Research Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to accelerating people-driven research that is faster, more user-friendly for patients and providers, and less costly.

Hudson most recently served as deputy director for science, outreach, and policy at the National Institutes of Health, where she played a significant role in the founding and launch of the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences. Previously, Hudson held positions at the National Human Genome Research Institute, Johns Hopkins University, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the US Congress.

Sherrie Perkins has accepted the postion of CEO of ARUP Laboratories, while Andrew Theurer has accepted the position of president at the lab. They replace Edgar Braendle who served in both positions during the past year. Braendle is leaving ARUP to pursue other opportunities and rejoin his family in New Jersey, ARUP said. Perkins was previously senior vice president of R&D at ARUP, as well as professor, vice chair, and division chief of clinical pathology. She is a tenured professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Theurer was senior VP and CFO at ARUP.

John Rice

Meridian Bioscience has appointed John Rice as an independent director. Rice joins Meridian from CincyTech, a firm that provides advice and capital to entrepreneurs and helps research institutions commercialize technology through startups. He has served as the director of life sciences since 2014. Rice is also the founder and, since 2003, managing partner of Triathlon Medical Ventures Partners, a venture capital firm that invests equity capital in early- and expansion-stage life science companies.

Madhuri Hegde

Madhuri Hegde has has been elected to the ACMG Foundation for Genetic and Genomic Medicine Board of Directors, the supporting educational foundation of the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics. Hegde joined PerkinElmer in 2016 as vice president and CSO of Global Genetics Laboratory Services. She also is an adjunct professor of human genetics at Emory University. Previously, Hegde was executive director and CSO at Emory Genetics Laboratory in Atlanta; professor of human genetics and pediatrics at Emory University; and assistant professor of human genetics and senior director at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
