Michael Phillips

Michael Phillips has been named chief scientific officer of Sequence Bio, a startup biotechnology company serving the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Phillips, who most recently was vice president of genomics at Genomics Medicine Ireland, will lead data-driven genomic and precision medicine research for Sequence Bio. The company said he would concentrate on "deep and complete multi-omic and longitudinal health information in disease-specific cohorts," including the NL Genome Project, a proposed province-wide sequencing effort.
