Alnylam Pharmaceuticals said today that Chief Business Officer Laurence Reid will resign from the company at the end of 2014. Reid will be joining venture capital firm Third Rock Ventures as an entrepreneur-in-residence. He is expected to become CEO of a Third Rock Ventures-funded company in the future. Reid joined Alnylam in 2010.
