OpGen announced two new appointments to the firm, including the appointment of Kevin Krenitsky as president. He takes over the role from Evan Jones, who will remain CEO and chairman of OpGen, according to a document filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Krenitsky joins the company, which filed for an initial public offering last month, from Foundation Medicine, where he was chief commercial officer and senior vice president of international strategy. Before that, he was president of Enzo Clinical Labs.

Also, OpGen named Timothy Dec as its interim CFO, effective April 22. He replaces Eric Winzer, who resigned from OpGen, effective May 1. Dec has been CFO and SVP of Clubwidesports, a sports management software firm. Prior to that, he was CFO and SVP of Fortress International.
