Joel Brill

Toronto-based GeneNews has appointed Joel Brill chief medical officer of Innovative Diagnostic Laboratory, its US-based joint venture. Brill will assume responsibility for medical aspects of the laboratory and act as the company's medical lead with physicians, patients, and insurance providers. 

Brill comes to GeneNews with 30 years of experience providing medical oversight to data-driven health organizations; developing and implementing innovative health programs, products, and payment systems; and extensive experience in clinical practice and research. He has held management positions with several companies, including Predictive Health, Blue Shield of California, and Prudential Healthcare. He is also on editorial advisory boards for multiple journals.
