Illumina announced that Chairman and CEO Jay Flatley has been appointed executive chairman of the board, and that current president Francis deSouza will take over as CEO. DeSouza will also continue to serve as president of the company and as a board member. The appointments, effective July 5, have been unanimously approved by the board.
