Edward Russell

Edward Russell has joined Quidel in the newly created role of senior vice president, global commercial operations, the company said in a document filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The position will consolidate Quidel's commercial functions under one global commercial umbrella, the firm said. Russell was previously with Thermo Fisher Scientific, and before that, he was with Life Technologies, which was acquired by Thermo Fisher. At Life Tech he had various leadership roles, including North America commercial leader of the BioSciences Division, and president of Life Technologies Japan. He also has held leadership positions at FedEx Kinko's, ExxonMobil, and Toyota/Lexus.
