Ancestry has appointed Catherine Ball as CSO where she will oversee the science team, and lead the company's initiatives to develop innovative new technologies and analyze genetic data. Ball joined Ancestry as vice president of genomics and bioinformatics in 2011. She previously worked as a genomic scientist and led the Stanford Microarray Database.
