Carlos González

Carlos González has joined Great Basin Scientific as vice president of engineering, where he will lead the development of the next major platform upgrade to the firm's analyzer instrument.

González brings more than 20 years' experience in medical device engineering and research. Before coming to Great Basin, González served as R&D director of instrument development at Abbott Point of Care. Prior to that, he held positions at Siemens Diagnostics, Abbott Pharmaceutical, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories.

He has a PhD in electrical engineering from the University of California, Davis.
