Thermo Scientific KingFisher Presto Sample Purification System

Thermo Fisher Scientific has launched the Thermo Scientific KingFisher Presto sample purification system. It is designed to isolate target nucleic acids and proteins as part of an automated workflow in high-throughput laboratories, the company said. The system uses a liquid handler with a gripper or robot arm and can purify samples with volumes from 50 µL to 5 mL. It also allows users to choose between 24- and 96-head magnets high-throughput laboratories. The KingFisher Presto is accompanied by Thermo Scientific BindlT software for protocol development which allows users to create and modify their protocols and import Invitrogen and Applied Biosystems nucleic acid and protein purification kits, the company said.
