Thermo Fisher Scientfic iBind Flex Western System

Thermo Fisher Scientific has introduced the iBind Flex Western System for automated western blot processing. Based on proprietary sequential lateral flow, the platform is designed to enable a more versatile walk-away solution for the immunodetection step in a western blotting workflow, Thermo Fisher said. The platform is compatible with downstream chemiluminescent, colorimetric, or fluorescent detection protocols and is optimized for higher sensitivity and reproducibility, potentially reducing the amount of primary antibody required compared to manual blot processing, the company said.
