SoftGenetics' NextGene Software

SoftGenetics has released a new version of its NextGene software, which is used for analyzing  data from Illumina and Ion Torrent sequencers.

This release includes a new somatic mutation comparison tool, which reduces false positives when performing somatic mutation analysis by up to 70 percent; an HLA analysis module that matches sample reads to a dictionary reference file with allele-specific sequences for targeted HLA genes; and it also includes enhancements to the copy number variation analysis module.
