Shoreline Biome Complete NanoID Microbiome Kits and SBanalyzer

Shoreline Biome has launched Complete NanoID, a new sample preparation kit for microbiome sequencing on Oxford Nanopore Technologies' systems, and SBanalyzer software.

The kit, which come in 16 dual-barcode and 96-barcode sets, includes a patented lysis and DNA purification step that does not use bead beating, unique dual-end barcoding to reduce amplification bias, and use one-step PCR.

It uses a novel amplicon that contains the entire 16S ribosomal RNA gene, as well as the variable ITS region and part of the 23S gene.

SBanalyzer software demultiplexes and maps sequencing data using the long-read Athena microbial reference database.
