Qiagen QIAseq 16S/ITS NGS Panels, UCP Multiplex PCR kit

Qiagen has launched panels and kits for microbial community profiling from complex microbiome samples that are designed to reduce profiling bias. The QIAseq 16S/ITS NGS Panels can profile bacterial and fungal communities by interrogating combinations of nine bacterial 16S variable regions as well as fungal ITS regions using Illumina platforms. Users can index from 24 to 384 samples in a panel. The UCP Multiplex PCR Kit is a stand-alone product as well as a component of the QIAseq 16S/ITS Panels. The PCR master mix can be used on difficult microbial samples and features nucleic acid-depleted reagents that are tested for bacterial and fungal DNA contamination and inhibitor-resistant amplification for templates with up to 70 percent GC content.
