PerkinElmer Assay Kits for GPCR Therapeutic Discovery

PerkinElmer has launched new assay kits to further G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) therapeutics discovery. The kits include the HTRF GTP Gi binding kit (a time-resolved Förster resonance energy transfer-based assay for GTP binding); the B-arr2 recruitment kit; and HTRF total kits for beta-arresting 1, beta-arrestin 2, and AP2. The assays are intended to help scientists better understand the role GPCRs play in disease by studying the interaction, expression, and potential modulation of intracellular proteins involved in GPCR signaling mechanisms.
