MD Biosciences Zika Test

MD Biosciences, a Saint Paul, Minnesota-based clinical and diagnostic services lab, has announced the availability of a rapid nucleic acid assay to detect Zika virus in blood and urine samples. The lab-developed test takes a few hours to run, is specific for the Zika virus, and was shown not to cross react with dengue, West Nile, or Chikunguya viruses.
