GenScript CRISPR-Based Yeast Genome Editing Service

GenScript has announced its new CRISPR/Cas9-based editing service for the yeast genome.

Using the firm's λ Red-CRISPR/Cas9 technology, the service can be used for can be used for gene knock-in, knock-out, or replacement in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

The service uses a two-vector system to target up to three genes simultaneously, while ensuring editing accuracy down to the base pair. Results can be delivered in as a little as five weeks.
