GATC Biotech INVIEW Microbiome High Specificity

GATC Biotech has released a next-generation sequencing product for scientists exploring microbial diversity. The new INVIEW Microbiome High Specificity approach is based on sequencing of the approximately 1,500-base-pair 16S rRNA gene using the PacBio RS II system, and enables the characterization of microbial communities of any complexity down to the species level. High-quality, ultra-long reads can be generated from 16S rRNA amplicons, allowing for phylogenetic characterization and semi-quantification of microbial communities with high resolution, sensitivity, and reliability, GATC Biotech said.
