Eurofins Genomics Oligonucleotide Synthesizer Platform

Eurofins Genomics has launched its new DNA synthesizer platform. The platform synthesizes EXTREmer oligonucleotides. The oligonucleotides are up to 200 bases long with a coupling efficiency of 99.5 percent or greater. The EXTREmers allow for the construction of genes with segments of low sequence variability that would be difficult to sequence with shorter oligonucleotides, the company said. They can also be used as a template for in vitro transcription of RNA molecules.
