CoreBiome BoosterShot and StrainView Metagenomics Services

CoreBiome has launched services for shotgun metagenomics and strain sequencing for $99. The services enable species and gene profiling for the human microbiome and deep characterization of microbial isolate libraries, according to the company.

The shotgun sequencing service, BoosterShot, has a turnaround time of three weeks from sample receipt to online report and sequences to a depth of 2 million reads per sample. In addition, it has launched StrainView for whole-genome shotgun sequencing of up to thousands of isolated bacterial genomes.
