Clontech Guide-it CRISPR/Cas9 Gesicle Production System

Clontech Laboratories, a subsidiary of Takara Bio, has launched the Guide-it CRISPR/Cas9 Gesicle Production System. The kit enables delivery of CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing systems via gesicles, cell-derived nanovesicles engineered with surface glycoproteins to help bind and fuse to a broad range of cell types. Gesicles contain and deliver the Cas9 protein complexed with the guide RNA targeting the genomic site of interest. The kit includes lyophilized Xfect Transfection Reagent, gesicle packaging mixes containing coding sequences for the nanovesicle-inducing glycoprotein, Cas9 endonuclease, CherryPicker red fluorescent protein, a pre-linearized vector for cloning target sgRNA, and A/C Heterodimerizer for gesicle loading.
