Agena's iPlex HS

Agena Bioscience has launched its iPlex HS, a new chemistry that enables highly sensitive, multiplexed detection of genetic variants present in solid tumors. It is ideal for targeted genotyping of tumor biopsies where high sensitivity is critical and sample quantity is limited, such as with heterogenous tumor and formalin-fixed tissue, the company said. The new chemistry enables detection of genetic variants that are present at frequency levels as low as one percent, the company said. The chemistry is run on the company's MassArray system.
