Job Description

As Vice President of Business Development, you bring knowledge, access and success to our growing Business Development team. With a demonstrable track record of creating sales opportunities and closing deals, you are eager and willing to be a player and coach managing a team of three to five Business Development Managers (BDMs). In this capacity, you play a meaningful role in the development and growth of Seven Bridges’ commercial team.


  • Develop strategic account plans with BDMs identifying key constituents within assigned account base.

  • Develop and close commercial deals with clients and partners on behalf of Seven Bridges.

  • Manage a team of Business Development Managers through active support, coaching and strategy development to ensure their success.

  • Build on existing network of relevant contacts to create new opportunities for Seven Bridges.

  • Serve as an ambassador on behalf of Seven Bridges into large, complex organizations.

  • Collaborate across internal teams to deliver strategic value to clients.

  • With team of Business Development Managers, exceed revenue targets.




  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in related fields of life sciences, IT and/or business

  • Skills/Abilities: Deep analytical experience in sales role, management capability

  • Experience: Proven track record of 10+ years of experience working in software/consulting sales, financial, business and/or strategic analysis consistently meeting or exceeding quota. Responsibilities and compensation are commensurate with level of experience.  

  • Personal characteristics: Self-sufficiency, hustle, flexibility, intellectual curiosity, high emotional intelligence
