System Engineer, Modeling & Analysis

Job Description


  • Develop parametric system models of a DNA, sensor and buffer system and use these models to determine optimal design and operating conditions.
  • In collaboration with an experimental team, develop and test sensor system models.
  • Perform detailed data analysis of experimental and simulation experiments and present results in a company setting as well as in written reports.


  • PhD level candidate in engineering, material science, chemistry or physics or similar field
  • Demonstrated expertise in physical modeling and simulation of electrokinetics and surface electronics.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and statistics sufficient to characterization of physical systems and evaluate models.
  • Strong cross-functional communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
  • Experience with experimental systems and biological molecules are a plus.
  • Ability to work productively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • The ideal candidate will be innovative, driven, results-oriented and methodical, with record of achievement commensurate with previous experience
