Genetic Testing Solutions: IVD Studies and Submissions team


How will you make an impact?

The Genetic Testing Solutions group is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Staff Scientist to work on a team providing clinical application support to clients, partners and internal departments. Act as liaison between technical, regulatory, marketing and business teams. The candidate will have strong writing and communication skills, an understanding of regulated product (IVD) market, a broad understanding of molecular biology and biotechnology, and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a cross-functional team including R&D, Regulatory, Marketing, Business Development, Clinical and Scientific Affairs and external partners.


What will you do?

  • Be the liaison between R&D, Clinical Affairs, Scientific Affairs, Regulatory, Marketing, and Business Development to effectively support our customers

  • Be the point of contact for inquiries requiring in-depth technical and regulatory knowledge of our clinical applications

  • Assist with pre-sale education and clinical support to potential customers

  • Provide advanced product support to customers, including hands-on lab work

  • Interact with internal and external partners including direct customer communication

  • Support collaborations with external partners and with Key Opinion Leaders (“KOLs”)

  • Prepare and present technical documents and presentations to internal and external stakeholders

  • Support product launch activities with a strong “customer-first” mindset



BA/BS Degree, 10+ years/ MS Degree, 6+ years/ PhD Degree, 5+ years of industry experience



  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements of In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) products, preferably in molecular diagnostics

  • Familiarity with diagnostic methods, preferably for infectious diseases and oncology

  • Strong background in molecular biology (including DNA, RNA and protein handling, PCR, qPCR, quantification methods)

  • Understanding of Quality Systems Regulations and cGMP product development

  • Strong technical writing skills and excellent verbal communication skills

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role

  • Experienced in Microsoft Office and using statistical software

  • Ability to analyze complex data sets from various sources

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentations to senior leadership and large audiences

  • Adept at building and maintain relationships with customers and key opinion leaders

  • Ability to operate effectively both independently and within a (cross functional) team

  • Must be tolerant to change, ready to take on new challenges and open to learning new skills
