As a Sr. Software Informatics- Machine Learning in Illumina’s Research group you will focus on applying machine learning/deep learning techniques to genomic applications.
You will be part of research team developing deep learning methods applied to massive, multimodal genomic and biomedical datasets, with the goal of accelerating the application of genomics and artificial intelligence to improvement of human health. The technical challenge as well as the potential impact of this work is highest among applications of artificial intelligence, and therefore we look for individuals who enjoy technical challenge and care to have an impact.
All About You
• Develop and apply machine learning/deep learning algorithms to various areas of interest, including integration of genomic and biomedical data, variant interpretation, detecting machine anomalies, and application to massive datasets in oncology, reproductive health, autism and rare diseases, among others
• Develop and apply informatics-based big data techniques to develop new diagnostic tests and assays
• Build strong collaborative relationships with diverse groups within and outside of Illumina
• Strong communication skills
