POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Senior Product Manager for Digital PCR will have responsibility for leading the product concepting and development process for the RainDrop Digital PCR portfolio. The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for driving all commercial aspects of product development and product commercialization. Deliverables for the role include gaining a full understanding of customer needs in the addressable market segments, developing product roadmaps, establishing a development pipeline through partnership with cross-functional teams and bringing the voice of customer into the product development process. S/he will manage a product management team responsible for the development of products and an associated pipeline that builds upon the foundation that has been established and delivers shareholder value. S/he will be responsible for ensuring that customer and market issues and recommendations are effectively communicated to internal staff, leadership and the Board of Directors (as appropriate).  Compensation and benefits in accordance with Company policy.

 

 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 10 years experience in marketing and/or sales management

  • A degree in Biological Sciences; a Business degree is a plus (e.g. MBA)

  • Domain knowledge and direct experience in NGS and PCR technologies

  • Technical understanding of molecular biology techniques, microfluidics, software and informatics

  • Ability to balance commercial priorities with ‘deep science’ including translating scientific findings into high value sales and marketing collateral

  • Competitive awareness and self-awareness of technology and product attributes and limitations, respectively

  • Specific knowledge of the life science tools and diagnostics space

  • Knowledge and experience in working within a regulated environment; familiarity with design control principles a plus

  • Experience with working within a matrixed, cross-functional team with demonstrated results

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience / ability to work in a rapid growth environment

Location

  • Corporate Headquarters is in Billerica, MA and it is to be expected that this position will have a significant presence at this location. A satellite office will exist in the San Diego for a defined period of time, to be determined.
