GeneDx, Inc., a leading provider of molecular tests for rare disorders, is rapidly expanding and recruiting for a Senior Clinical Scientist, Microarray.  This position is on-site at GeneDx, Inc. in Gaithersburg, MD however, remote applicants will also be considered.

The Senior Clinical Scientist for Microarray offers a unique opportunity to closely work with ABMG-boarded Clinical Molecular Geneticists and Clinical Cytogeneticists, as well as a team of analysts with focus on chromosomal and exon-level microarray and related technologies. This individual will identify, research and interpret copy number variants and assess their clinical relevance, establish phenotype-genotype links, review a large spectrum of genetic disorders, as well as review and sign out detailed clinical test reports.

Requirements

Requirement: Board certified or eligible, MD or PhD

The successful candidate will have either an MD (US Medical License not required), MD/PhD, or PhD and must be certified by the ABMG in Clinical Molecular Genetics and Clinical Cytogenetics, with at least 1 year post grad practice in a clinical diagnostics setting preferred. Appropriate judgment as it pertains to interpretation of data from chromosomal and exon-level microarray and other related technologies, patient report writing and signing, as well as excellent time management and communication skills are key.
