The Specialist, Corrections Sales, QuantiFERON represents QIAGEN QuantiFERON-TB, other QuantiFERON products, and potentially other core QIAGEN MDx products in the corrections market. This Specialist is responsible for sales activities and achieving sales goals with targeted customers and accounts. The Sales Specialist effectively leads development of North American corrections markets for QuantiFERON and other legacy Cellestis products to achieve business targets. Specifically, the Specialist grows revenue by targeting and expanding TB testing business in Federal and State Prisons and State, County, and Municipal jails.


• BS degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the pharmaceutical sales industry or in vitro medical diagnostics industry
• Basic knowledge of clinical laboratory practice
• Minimum 3 years experience in selling to and/or working with state, federal and local correctional facilities in a medical, pharmaceutical or diagnostic function.
• Experience selling to key prospective customers and key prospective accounts including senior level policy makers.
• Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and a sales territory
• Working knowledge of immunology and microbiology
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to rapidly use CRM tools
• Creative “can do” approach to problem solving
• Competent with Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Able to work in a team environment
• Ability to organize, balance and work a large geographic territory.
• Ability to develop and implement business plans
• Ability to effectively communicate across all workgroups within company at a regional, national and global level
