About Our Organization

Natera is a Silicon Valley-based genetic testing company that develops and commercializes non-invasive methods for analyzing DNA. Our mission is to help families diagnose and manage genetic disease.

Natera is headquartered in San Carlos, California and has more than 600 employees worldwide – doubling in size in the last 18 months.

Natera’s expertise lies in identifying and analyzing tiny amounts of foreign DNA in a host body.  For example, one of our leading products measures tiny amounts of fetal DNA in a pregnant woman’s blood stream.  Our unique SNP based methods and advanced bio-informatics algorithms allow us to deliver results that are more accurate than other technologies.  This requires teams of experts from genetics, statistics and engineering and laboratory, clinical and commercial specialists, who collaborate to deliver substantial results.  Sequencing technology is increasing exponentially, similar to Moore’s Law; Natera is at the forefront of taking advantage of this data, and is redefining the utility of genetic information.  This change is disrupting the medical community and being embraced by consumers worldwide.

We are currently expanding to offer our suite of tests in the cloud to laboratories worldwide and expanding our cell free DNA technology into the field of oncology.  Natera’s approach is well-suited for early detection, monitoring and treatment stratification of cancers.  Clinical trials to demonstrate the ability of our technology to analyze circulating tumor DNA are ongoing.  If you want to work in a fun and fast-paced environment, develop along with other really smart people and help us achieve extraordinary success, we want to hear from you.
