Summary
The Software Development Engineer II role is to collaborate in designing, creating, maintaining, and supporting software solutions to support the mission of Fred Hutch.Reporting
The Software Development Engineer II reports to the Programming Core Manager of the Collaborative Data Services deparment.

Job Responsibilities
- Develop custom software
- Test & debug new and modified software
- Assist in the analysis of application requirements as requested
- Assist in the design of applications to meet user specifications
- Create and maintain documentation
- Assist in creation of application architecture and design for small projects
- Support software, troubleshoot user problems
- Collaborate with other members of CDS and Fred Hutch staff and end users
- Follow software development best practices
- Participate in code and design reviews
- Perform other responsibilities as required
- Maintain knowledge and follow department specific project management methodologies

Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field desired
- Minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience
- Programming in C# and ASP.NET
- Programming JavaScript and JavaScript libraries such as Angular JS and jQuery
- Experience with open source technologies and cloud computing is a plus
- Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills
- Enjoy working in a team environment and with a proven record of positive contributions to the work of the team
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts, data structures and algorithms
- Demonstrated presentation skills
