Job Description

Job title: Senior Statistical Geneticist

Roles and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities include collaborating with biologists, bioinformaticians, and clinicians to design statistical analyses; perform statistical support to genetic analyses in family, cohort, and case-control studies and to evaluate genetic associations with clinical phenotypes; determine variables to be studied and sample size; discuss statistically valid data collection methods; gathering and analyzing data to yield meaningful conclusions about important questions; assisting with the preparation of statistical analysis plan (SAP).

The candidate must be currently eligible to be employed in USA.

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• At least Master Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, or related field with at least 5 years of related experience.
• Extensive experience in statistical classification/supervised learning and feature/variable selection techniques, such as LDA, KNN, and etc.
• Knowledge of biology, such as genetics, genomics, and molecular biology
• Proficient in R
• Experience in databases and SQL query
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with cancer biomarker discovery is a plus
