Job Description

Biopharma companies are challenged with turning advancements in genomics into better therapies and improved health. By providing sequencing services and custom cohorts of deeply phenotyped and genotyped patients, as well as the GORdb platform and analysis suite and cutting-edge AI, we enable our clients to accelerate their drug discovery and development programs.

We are looking for a highly motivated, well organized and results-oriented Senior Scientist to serve as a Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) assay development specialist and implement NGS assays for clients in our CLIA/CAP laboratory.


-Independently develop and validate customized Next Generation Sequencing assays
-Draft validation reports and related SOPs
-Execute daily lab operations, including sample accessioning, DNA/RNA extractions, NGS workflows, QC and reporting in a CLIA/CAP environment
-Optimize and integrate high throughput automation approaches into the NGS workflows
-Support implementation of laboratory data management systems
-Technically guide junior scientific staff
-Collaborate with the lab manager to keep the lab in compliance with CLIA/CAP or GCP requirements
-Prepare auditing documents and participate in laboratory audits and inspections


-Ph.D. with 2-3 years of laboratory experience in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related field, or Master of Science with 6 or more years of laboratory experience in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related
-Deep knowledge and hands on experience with NGS sample preparation, NGS platform operations and data management
-A proven ability to troubleshoot technical and scientific issues
-Excellent organization and documentation skills
-Strong written and oral communication skills
-Ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment is essential

-Experience working in a CLIA/CAP or GCP lab preferred
