The Senior Research Associate performs duties related to cell and tissue culture, bioprinting and analysis of both in vitro and in vivo experiments.
•Executes independent and supervised experiments supporting the development of therapeutic bioprinted tissues.
•Participates in the bioprinting and fabrication of tissues and in vitro and in vivo analyses of those tissues.
•Prepares cells and related materials to include cell culture, fabrication and maintenance of bioprinted tissues.
•Performs bioreactor maintenance, biochemical assays (ELISA, qPCR), and histology (fixation, embedding, sectioning, staining, and imaging).
•Will also be involved in key aspects of assay development and establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs) relevant to those assays
•Conducts biochemical assays, including ELISA, qPCR, cell viability and tissue histopathology per established protocols / SOPs.
•Executes on established protocols, using independent judgment to respond to variations in conditions as needed
•Contributes to experimental design for both in vitro and in vivo experiments
•Participates in new assay development, including independent optimization / troubleshooting
•May contribute new methods for experimental analysis
•Performs primary cell culture and maintenance of bioprinted tissues...cont.
