Job Description

Specific responsibilities will include: 

Participate in technology transfer from Research groups utilizing hands-on approach 
Cell cryopreservation techniques to enable high concentration freezing of Primary Human cells 
Support the development of in-process and final release assays 
Using a DOE approach: 
Optimize culture conditions for 3D tissues 
Evaluate alternative media formulations 
Support the development of processes for automation final cell based products 
Shipping and storage of mammalian cell culture products such as 3D tissues 
Sourcing and characterization of cells 
Evaluate raw materials and establish specifications and qualifications 
Technology transfer to manufacturing group through document control and on-hand training 
Assist manufacturing team to support customer requirements 
Write protocols and reports to support process changes 
Analyze data and present work both to internal and external customers 
Prepare SOPs and Batch Records that enable transfer of validated protocols into project teams



The successful candidate must have a BS/MS in Bioengineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biology or a related field with 4+ years of practical experience in mammalian cell culture in a commercial setting. He/She must have references that confirm superior organizational skills with great attention to details, the ability to multi-task and remain focused to deliver high-quality results on time. The successful candidate will adjust rapidly to shifting priorities and variable workloads and will be able to work flexibly to accommodate project deadlines. Outstanding candidates will have opportunities for cross-training in other specialized techniques related to the generation and analysis of bioprinted tissue.
