NanoString is seeking an innovative Senior Product Manager with experience in commercializing RNA and protein expression technologies. NanoString has a strong culture around developing and launching exciting products to measure RNA in precious clinical samples. Today, the capability extends beyond nucleic acids to include proteins. Nanostring is looking to build a similar culture of excellence for the development of integrated products to simultaneously measure RNA and protein. The right individual will be self-motivated, energetic and excited about developing novel products and creating new markets. The ideal candidate will have technical and marketing experience related to RNA and/or protein expression technologies. The candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of current market needs for expression analysis and emerging technologies.
The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for commercializing NanoString’s next generation RNA & Protein expression products. The senior product manager will lead the effort to define, design and commercialize RNA & Protein expression products. Develop product profiles, competitive analysis, presentations, demos, white papers, and product updates for organizational marketing materials. Identify customer needs and market trends and recommend pricing strategies. Research competitor products and maintain competitive comparisons and evaluations.
- Market Research: Perform quality and quantitative market research to understand customer segment, customer need, and competitive landscape
- Product development: Ability to define product concept, create product positioning and value propositions, write product requirements, propose pricing strategies, and generate financial models.
- Go to Market Strategy: Plan key programs and/or events related to product promotion, trade shows, user group events, and other customer-focused events related to the RNA & Protein expression products.
- Commercial support: Train field team on specific product details, support customer inquiries, and engage early access customers.
