Job Description

Muse bio has an outstanding opportunity available for a motivated and highly accomplished Molecular biologist. Successful candidates will be responsible for developing novel tools and high-throughput methodologies for rapid genomic engineering of bacteria and eukaryotes. They will also be responsible for proposing new product development ideas, executing experimental plans with excellence, and delivering products on time. 



  • Develop new genetic methods and tools for applicable in multiple species (bacteria and eukaryotes). 
  • Translate genetic methods and tools to be performed by software + automation
  • Develop processes for verification and quality control of constructed genetic parts and strains





  • PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, or related fields preferred.
  • Proven history of successfully developing CRISPR/Cas9-based technologies in the field of molecular biology for genome engineering AND special consideration will be given for those applicants with: 

                 -       Product development experience

                 -     Background in Homology Directed Repair

  • Strong background in cloning, cell biology, and high-throughput assay design
  • Demonstrated independent thought and judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria
  • Strong statistical analysis skills, communication and presentation skills
  •  Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication, and presentation skills
